How do I create a game?
Open the app, tap "Create New Game", give it a name, and share the join code with your group. Everyone joins using the same code.
How does scoring work?
Animals are worth different points based on rarity: Common (5 pts), Uncommon (15 pts), Rare (40 pts), and Legendary (100 pts). The first person to spot an animal gets the points. Others can confirm the sighting with "I see it too!" to also earn points.
What are combos?
Combos are bonus achievements you unlock by spotting specific groups of animals — like the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Black Rhino) for +500 pts, or the Cat Collector (all five cats) for +350 pts.
Does the app work offline?
Yes! When you lose connectivity on a game drive, your sightings are queued locally and automatically sync when you're back in range.
Can I log a sighting for another player?
Yes — long-press an animal to choose which player you're logging the sighting for. Useful when someone's phone is out of reach.
What is the cooldown period?
After an animal is spotted, there's a 30-minute cooldown before the same species can be logged again. During this time you can update the sighting with bonus tags (like Baby or Family).
